LMCT Sign The CIASP Stand-Up Pledge

November 5, 2020

According to the Centers for Disease Prevention, construction occupations have the highest rate of suicide, as well as the highest number of suicides across all occupational groups.

To combat these statistics, contractors, unions, associations, industry service providers and project owners must work together to STANDup for suicide prevention.

The Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention (CIASP) is raising awareness about the risk of suicide within the construction industry and providing suicide prevention resources and tools to create a zero-suicide industry.

Recently, the Mechanical Insulators LMCT has joined the cause of this great organization as a supporter by signing the Stand-up pledge.

The LMCT encourages any union leader or contractor to visit their website to receive information to increase their awareness about this subject that nobody wants to talk about but should talk about it at home, at work (in the office or job site) and in our communities.

Together, we can make a difference.
