Insulators Member Assistance Program Update

Changes Coming To IMAP

We’re excited to announce some important improvements to the Insulators Membership Assistance Program (IMAP) as we approach its two-year milestone. Recent internal changes have been implemented to streamline the assistance process and make it more accessible and easier for all members.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with existing Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), enhancing rather than replacing these valuable resources. YouTurn Health, our primary IMAP provider, is reaching out to establish connections with Local Union leadership and EAP providers to maintain seamless coordination of support.

We ask Business Managers to click on the button to download a letter requesting some basic information that will help YouTurn Health better integrate with your current EAP services. We understand that confidentiality is paramount when members seek assistance, and we are committed to making this process both comfortable and discreet.

Please read the attached letter, and if you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, you can reach out to YouTurn Vice President Bridget Kelly at bkelly@youturnhealth.com or 978-328-8787. You can also contact Pete Ielmini at Pielmini@insulatorsLMCT.org or 732-210-7084.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Member Testimonial

A veteran, who began working with a peer coach in November 2024, quickly established a strong rapport, often meeting twice a week.

When he began experiencing difficulties with binge drinking in January, the coach addressed the behavior directly while maintaining a compassionate and nonjudgmental presence. As the drinking began to impact his health, the veteran — supported by the trust and accountability built through coaching — chose to return to inpatient treatment.

According to updates from his VA support team, he is progressing well. His coach remains actively engaged, committed to walking alongside him as he continues on his path to long-term recovery.
